In this week's episode, our host, Elizabeth Johnson, is joined by Dr. Alexandra Greenwald and collaborator Alan Groves to delve into the Native Voices Exhibit at the Natural History Museum of Utah (NHMU). Dr. Greenwald serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology and as the Curator of Ethnography at the Natural History Museum of Utah, where she spearheads the Native Voices Initiative. Alan Groves, a member of the Northern Ute and Hopi tribes, brings his expertise as a teacher, beader, quiller, and collaborator for the Native Voices Initiative.

The Native Voices Initiative actively engages with tribal leaders and Native collaborators to comprehensively document the stories and knowledge of Native communities across the region. This initiative prioritizes centering the perspectives of native communities within NHMU collections.
